New Horizons - Males

June 12-15

About this Session

This is a session for the true adventurers at heart. New Horizons officially launched in 2021 and is our only opportunity to go off campus for the entirety of the session. New Horizons campers will meet at Camp Northward, pack up their belongings together and then head to their destination. This year, that destination is Cumberland Falls State Park. David & Cheri, our deans for these session, are very hopeful that campers might see a moonbow. This park is one of only two places in the United States where you can see this phenomenon.

At the end of the New Horizons session, campers will return to Camp Northward, where they will then pack up and head home.

Last year's New Horizons group went to Red River Gorge. While there, they hiked, kayaked and rock climbed. Sound like you? Sign up today!

About Your Dean: David Myers

David has been a camp faculty member since 1990, and incidentally has been married to his wife, Cheri, for just as long. Together, they are deaning the New Horizons session this year. David & Cheri have two children: Lydia and Jonathan.

David is a teacher, coach and club sponsor in Pendleton County. He is a zip line facilitator, a basic archery instructor (NASP), top rope belay certified and CPR/First Aid certified. For all these reasons and many more, we trust David wholeheartedly to lead a safe and informed off-site session.
